A very unusual and unique thing here. A paper shooting target, awarded for best shot to a memebr of the DRK, which was the German Red Cross! Awarded in 1941, 2 years into the war. The DRK were supposed to be neutral and not carry weapons! Anyway, that's exactly what the award is for a 150m shoot. Named to a Obershutz Karl ELIAS. Signed by a senoir officer and has a good eagle an swastika ink stamp. Never seen anything like this awarded to Red Cross people!
A nice rarer maker here, has some small faults, but good piece!! An army officers dagger complete with straps and knot by MwM!!! Crossguard is the generic type. Grip is solid yellow celluloid with some hairline cracks by the ferrel. Small piece missing from inside grip but this is hidden by ferrel ring and not noticeable at all. Blade is nice a clean, some crossgraining, but a little grey in places. Scabbard has nearly all plating, and a small \'train door\' dent at the lower end. The original bullion knot has been tied in a very strange manner around the top of the scabbard. Has been there for EVER!! The hangers are the rare \'horseshoe top\' type. In good overall condition, have been worn a lot, and there is a wear patch just at thetop on the reverse. Looks a great piece, and the knot tie is most interesting.
A very nice, completely original M35/40 Luftwaffe, single decal combat helmet, complete with the 31 liner and chin-strap dated 1940. A great helmet with much character. The original owner name is in cream paint around the inside the reverse neck of the helmet, but unfortunately is nearly unreadable. What is most unusual is the helmet colour is GREEN, and always has been! The decal is still 85% visible. Luftwaffe helmets are usually blue/grey, but I do know, due to order restrictions or shortages, green ones were used for combat purposes. I am not a helmet expert, but this is a great example of a battle worn, 100% original 'tin lid'!
A cotton, two piece center from a nazi party flag or drape. This measures approx. 15" across. Black swastika is machine sewn to the white circle backing. Obviously cut off a flag as a souvenir! Great display item.
Like all collectors, I try to specialise, but sometimes something else comes along that 'takes your fancy'! This is a fantastic, 100% original, but NEVER issued ASSAULT GUN WRAPPER. In the typical green/grey this was one of dozens of original uniforms purchaced from Russian film studios about 10 years ago. The interior of the grey silk-like lining is stamped in ink in several places the Russian film company name. Of course it is also marked with the German issue stamps, underneath the left arm hole " Munich Fabrik" made in 1942 with size stamps etc. Below that the film company has stamped 1943. The tunic is 100% complete with matching collar patches and epps, the BEVO eagle and swaz in machine sewn through the outer fabric, but NOT through the lining, so completely original! The jacket is MINT apart from a few small moth nips at the back of each cuff, and a couple on the rear of the tunic. A unique opportunity to acquire an ORIGINAL tunic in unissued condition. Actually an assault gun wrapper is rarer than the black panzer wrapper, but slightly less romantic!!! These sell for 1800-2000 on other sites. I have priced this VERY realistically.
An early nickel Luftwaffe sword by F.A Helbeig. A more unusual maker for these. Luftwaffe swords have shot up in price, and it\'s very difficult to get decent examples any longer. Many examples I see are well over £1000. This sword has a few small problems only, but basically is a very good example of the type. All nickel fittings to hilt and scabbard. Bottom scabbard fitting has some lateral scratches/dents. Leather is in good condition. Crescent hanger has owners initials scratched into the back. Grip has all of the leather and the twin twisted wires. The grip has a crack in the wood near the lower ferrell. Blade is very nice with all the nickel plating and very bright. Priced competitevely. GOOD SWORD
A good used example of a 2nd Pattn Luftwaffe dagger by the more unusual maker PUMA. HAs the Puma head in a diamond. Has nice, undamaged orange grip with springy wire. Blade has some minor finger smudges, but will clean and is in very good overall condition. Scabbard has some light surface rust, but again will clean and still has much of the original blued finish underneath. One of the hanger bands and rings has been replaced, and they don\'t match. These were only fixed to the scabbard by heat/pressure, so it is not uncommon for one to come loose and fall off. Replacement looks totally period! Very good overall dagger.
I have not had this type of armband before, so I had to seek advice! Apparently used at mass gatherings, party days etc etc. Were also given to children to wear and at the end of the war were seen on Volksturm volunteers arms etc. All cotton, one piece PRINTED armband half-size (full size one shown for scale) 100% original and now quite rare to find as they were 'throw-away' items!!! Price each, I have 2.
A mint, cased example of the KVK 1st Class with swords. War Merit Cross. This is from the 'Deutschler' stash recently found in Germany.Reverse opf pin marked with a '1'. A perfect example, and with all of these 'new old stock' items. Once these have gone, that's it.
An early type party armband with great character. Has thinner red cotton body, but the white disc and swastika are embroydered 'bevo' style into the cotton!!! Small moth nip or tear to the rear part, other than that it's a little grubby!!! Nice armband.
An early, slightly crude construction, but 100% real SS officers armband, triple construction. Black moire ribbon sewn to white circle and then to red wool backing. The black moire bands to the top and bottom of the armband have suffered from moth in many places. Other than that an arband with great character, still has threads of cotton present whee it was sewn to the arm of a tunic! Very reasonably priced.
A mint example of a KVK 1st class without swords, again from the Deutchler hoard!! Complete with it's brown tissue paper wrapping and stamped on the reverse pin 1. Not to be upgraded.

A high quality, early, all brass hilted dove-head sword by WKC. This is the model 1060. Heavily cast features in the brass, great detail in the closed wing eagle on the crossguard. Nice grip, with no damage. Grip wire perfect. Nice clean, mint blade with makers mark. Original black paint on the scabbard, with no damage to the metal etc. Good quality sword.
A rare and mint conditioned cotton 'BEVO' armband for the 'Deutche Red Cross'. Worn by enlisted personell as well as volunteers Lovely red cross and black wording around the outside. Ideal for display with Red Cross daggers etc.
A very good example of an Eickhorn 'Derfflinger' sword. Designated model 1735 and is part of the Eickhorn Field Marshall series. This has a fire gilded hilt over aluminium, and the gilt is virtually all there. It has changed colour in places, but has a 95% covering. Nice celluloid grip with aluminium wire. Good blade, with some minor greying towards the top, good scabbard with no damage. All original paint. Reasonably priced for this type of sword.
1937 ITALIAN FACIST MVSN officer dagger with straps. An excellent example of the very popular \'art deco\' design dress dagger carried by Mussolini\'s MVSN black shirt guards. Black bakelite grips with facist brass insignia inset. Polished aluminium hilt. Blade is stone mint. Scabbard has been re-painted black at some time, but has been very well done. Complete with a beautiful set of original black leather straps. This is a great looking dagger, and has become very difficult to find in good condition now.
2nd. Pattn. LUFTWAFFE dagger, complete rig, knot & hangers. This seems to be a complete set that has been together since the war, so I will not be the one to separate them!! A nice white handled Luftwaffe dagger, complete with the rayon knot that has toned with age. It also has a nice set of de-lux hangers to complete it. Blade is needle sharp and very clean. This is an unmarked version. Scabbard is dent free and shows some age, but has a lot of the original \'blue\' scabbard finish. A nice looking rig.
ARMY OFFICERS DRESS DAGGER with ORANGE grip. This is a nice, classic dagger by WKC. Seems to have never been apart and is in overall excellent condition. Nice tangerine orange coloured grip. No damage. Slight lifting to the plating on the reverse of the crossguard. Nice detail to the crossguard eagle, which I think is the 2nd type used by WKC? Very clean blade, with WKC trademark on the side under the crossguard. Scabbard has some slight scuffs, but has nearly all of the silver plating present. Good example.
Beautiful MINIATURE 2nd LUFT. dagger by SMF!!!! I have collected miniatures for years, and the SMF type has always been a favourite of mine. Nice orange grip, complete with single wire wrap. Aluminium pommel and crossguard. Steel scabbard with most of original blued finish. Fantastic, mint mirror bright blade, complete with advert for a 50 year anniversary Friedrich Preusse company. Reverse has the SMF logo and DRGM stamps. Smashing miniature, and really hard to find now.
Classic 2nd Luftwaffe dagger ORANGE grip, UNCLEANED. Although this dagger has a plain, unmarked blade, it is a beautiful piece and has remained untouched and uncleaned since the war. Because of this, ALL of the original finish applied to these daggers when they left the factory, is still there. So all of the aluminium fittings and the steel scabbard, have the dark blue/grey oxidised finish present. There is a great deep orange contrasting grip, which looks wonderful against the dark metal. Blade is needle sharp and has all of the crossgraining present, with just a little age here and there. A great looking dagger!!
Daggers and Edged Weapons of Hitlers Germany. This is one of the ORIGINAL reference books on which our hobby is built! This is a FIRST edition , published in 1965!!! Over 40 yeras ago the collecting instict was very much with us, and this is still a great and important book. Not too many reproductions were around then, so the items in this book are superb references. Complete with the original dust jacket, which is slightly torn in places, the book is otherwise in mint condition.
DIRECT FROM VETERAN\'S FAMILY, PAIR OF NAVY DAGGERS! I have been lucky enough to buy, directly from the widow of the naval veteran, a pair of Kreigsmarine daggers identical in every way!! Never been in a collection!! We are not sure exactly were the daggers were picked up, but the veteran served in Corsica and was a de-coding specialist. This dagger is made by EICKHORN and has the later post-1938 trademark of the squirrell looking over the shoulder. Has 85% of the original fire gilt present and the original bullion knot tied in place. Blade is needle sharp and has nice etching present.
EARLY RAD HEWER by EICKHORN RAD Hewers are a lot of dagger for your money!! This is a nice early one, with the small oval Eickhorn trademark. All solid nickel fittings to the hilt. Nice pair of stag grips with no damage. Good blade, with nice clean surface, no sharpening. Good definition to the motto and trademark to the reverse. Good scabbard, with decent finish of black paint. Paint is original but an old re-paint over the original sprayed finish. No damage to bottom chape. All screws present.
Early SA dagger by ANTON WINGEN with original strap. Early SA dagger continue to be popular and rightly so! This is a veery good example recently acquired via a country auction, not been in a collection. Totally uncleaned, nickel fittings have the yellow patina liked by a lot of collectors. Wood grip is lovely with no damage. Scabbard has most of the original brown anodising, but also has some light suface pitting. Looks fine though. Blade is great and is virtually mint, with all crossgraining etc. Original short leather hanging strap with clip, totally original to the piece. A nice SA.
Early SA dagger with SEMI-ERASED ROHM-Eickhorn For those of you who like an absolutely text-book piece, this is it! A name only erased SA Rohm dagger by Eickhorn, has the early small oval trademark, nice and near the crossguard. The lower crossguard is bench stamped with the assembly number \'4\'!! The bade is very nice, not 100% mint, but a lot of crossgraining. The Rohm signature has been professionally erased, leaving the rest perfectly intact. Scabbard has .some surface pebbling, but basically has all of the brown anodising.there is a small hanger attached to the scabbard ring. A very good example of this type of dagger, not mint, but in excl + used condition
Eickhorn Kreigsmarine Officers dagger + gilt! With original knot. A VERY good example of the navy dagger used by officers and senior Petty Officers. Overall the dagger has a great deal of gilt left on the brass surfaces. Virtually all intact on the crossguard and pommel and perhaps 70% left on the scabbard. Grip is perfect white celluloid over wood, with a twisted brass wire wrap.Has original knot, tied in the navy style, slightly frayed by the crossguard. Blade is very nice indeed. Just off full mint . Blade etch background is all there and a DEEP grey, nice! Scabbard has a few light/slight surface dents to it, but nothing major at all. I have not had a good navy dagger in a while, they are getting much harder to find. Nice dagger!! Sold SW
Exploring the Dress Daggers and Swords of the German SS. This long awaited reference book has been out a few years now, and is a magnificent tome!! A huge reference book, filled with wonderful photographs and descriptive text. Tom Wittmann is a collector by heart, and it shows in this book. Over 500 pages long, terribly heavy, but worth every penny. The ultimate SS edged weapon reference book. (have 3 left)
FANTASTIC EARLY SA in VIRTUALLY MINT CONDITION when I say MINT condition, this dagger has not just come out of a box, so it\'s not all bright and shiney!! However, it has not been touched in 65 years and has a lovely patina to it, so you can see underneath how beautiful it is. The scabbard has 100% original laccquer over 100% brown anodising. If it wasn\'t for a shallow dent in the obverse scabbard body, it would be a PERFECT scabbard!!!! This is an earl SA by CARL HEIDELBERG and rates 6 on the rariety scale, with about 4000 made. Blade has all of the crossgraining, all of the burnish to the motto and the trademark. A stunning blade. Grip is equally beautiful, a lovely piece of wood and no damage. The original short brown hanger is attached. This is one of the best SA\'s I have handled in many years.
Great HJ youth knife, DOUBLE Eickhorn marked. Plain blade. HJ continue to be collectable, and this is a good example of the Eickhorn product. Blade is plain as it was produced after 1938, but the reverse has a great Eickhorn squirrel and the RZM code of M7/66 stamped into the blade surface. In my opinion the knife has never been issued, as all of the leather etc, is un-worn and stiff. It all shows age and loos of paint on the scabbard etc, but no actual WEAR. Scabbard paint is 95% intact, great mint grip and badge. Small piece of age corrosion on crossguard/quillion.
Hitler Youth knife WITH motto Once a very common little knife, now difficult to find in good condition AND with the motto. This is an early HJ knife by Hartkopf, and has their twin devils logo. (Hartkopf still make knives today). Blade has seen some use and is slightly sharpened (they were meant to be used!). Motto \'Blut und Ehre\' is still very clear though. Good grip with no damage, nice, perfect HJ enamel diamond. Nickel plating intact on the pommel and crossguard, with a little wear only. scabbard is undamaged and has about 75% of the original paint left. Leather belt loop and croos strap are fine and strong.
HJ- Hitler Youth knife with full motto, anodised scabbard This is a really nice example of a classic HJ knife with motto on the blade, pre-1938. An excellent knife, nickel plated hilt fittings are very nice. Perfect grip with nice HJ diamond. Blade is extremely nice. Full motto on the blade. Reverse of the blade is marked RZM M7/51 1937. This is the RZM code for Anton Wingen Jr. Scabbard is great, and is a REAL anodised/blued finish. Most scabbard were painted black, a few companies anodised their scabbards, and this one has survived the test of time. A really nice HJ dagger and very hard to find in this condition now
HJ/DJ commemorative knife for the 1936 OLYMPICS in packet. (RE-LISTED AS BUYER CHANGED HIS MIND) About 5 years ago I purchased several of these daggers after it seems a small cache were found in storage in Europe. They went very quickly and although I have seen a few around since then, this is the first time I have owned another one. Little DJ sized knife is quite crude in manufacture, but exactly like the standard DJ knives. However, this has the etched blade with the Olympic rings and 1936 etc. Other side has the stamped Emil Voos trademark. Grips are small pieces of stag, and a tiny HJ diamond is inset. It is complete with the original shipping paper packet, which tells you what it is!!!! A very neat item, I have kept a couple for my own collection.
KREIGSMARINE ADMIN \'SILVER\' DAGGER HANGERS & DRESS BELT! I have not had a rig like this for MANY years, A matched set of ADMINISTRATION naval dagger hangers and the matching moire dress belt. These are all early construction and the dagger hanger buckles are silver over brass, so a proper early set. Naval administration insignia was silver, not gilded brass, so their belt buckles and dagger hangers were also silver. Later in the period, the buckles were silvered aluminium, but early ones were brass/silvered. Hangers show some period wear, but are still completely sound. The moire dress belt again shows some wear, but is 100% and has a brass, silvered buckle. You just do not find early administration hangers, and this is complete with the belt! A great find!!!
Kreigsmarine dagger by F.W.Holler Not a mint piece, but very collectable. Has had it\'s brass scabbard and fittings polished recently, so looks very good, but no original fire gilt left. Holler ONLY made one type of navy dagger, and they all have the sailing ship etched blade pattern. Holler daggers also had the unique \'springy wire\' grip wrap. Of course this dagger has both of these features. Cream celluloid grip is perfect. Blade has a nice clear etch, but is lacking some of the \'crisp\' detail of a stone mint blade. Scabbard has a few carrying dents, but nothing more. A good, honest dagger and priced correctly.
KREIGSMARINE DAGGER WITH ETCHED BLADE Another good example of a period piece, clasic navy dagger. This is by HORSTER, a more unusual maker. Largest manufacturers were Eickhorn and then WKC, so virtually all of the navy daggers I find are by these two makers. To get another makers blade is good fun, and HORSTER are not that common. Good cream celluloid grip with no damae or cracks. Nice quality brass fittings, eagle, crossguard etc. Decent conditioned balde, etch is very clear and is the standard dolphins and anchor type. Background grey finish is a little faded with age and cleaning, but still present. Good quality scabbard, with just a few age knocks etc. Nice navy dagger. Fits very tightly in the scabbard.
KREIGSMARINE DAGGER WITH ORANGE GRIP!! Navy daggers have long been my favourite, but one type is really beautiful, and I was lucky enough to buy one locally from the family of the British veteran. This is a classis WKC navy officers dagger with solid celluloid grip that is now a tangerine orange colour! It also has the added cost option of a beautiful hammered scabbard!! A wonderful combination. Blade has the standard dolphin/anchor type etch, but is in mint condition with all the background burnish. A very nice dagger indeed. One small point, the eagle pommel is turned 180 degrees, so is in fact looking backwards when the dagger is facing you. This happens over the years as washers and wood shrinks, the pommel takes up the slack and turns a little more. Could be easily rectified by adding an extra blade washer, or shim under the pommel, but I will leave it as it is.)sold Serg)
KREIGSMARINE OFFICERS DAGGER WITH KNOT. After quite a long period of not having any navy daggers in stock, I have been lucky enough to acquire quite a few over the past few months. Has meant me spending many hours on the computer, and an awful lot of driving, to auctions and private homes. But it\'s all worth it!! (isn\'t it?). This is a very good example of a navy dagger, complete with a later rayon knot, by the well known maker WKC. Has the WKC letters and the company logo of a Knights helmet, STAMPED into the blade ricasso. Brass fittings retain a little of the fire guilding here and there, celluloid grip is perfect, with brass twisted wire. Rayon knot has turned a nice golden colour. It is tied in the regulation knot pattern across the crossguard. The chord just above the ball is quite frayed, but still sound. Brass scabbard, is virtually dent free and is a nice bright colour. Blade is beautiful, with all the original grey finish to the dolphin/anchor etch, and a needle sharp point. NICE DAGGER.
KRIEGSMARINE OFFICERS DAGGER A good example of a classic navy dagger with the much rarer plain blade and no maker!! I have always loved navy daggers, had a collection of over 30 different types at one time. It seems, according to the Eickhorn catalogue, that the normally seen \'etched\' blade was a COST option. The dagger was standard with a plain blade. 98% of purchasers seemsed to go for the cost option. The plain blade seems to have been left to the Quartermasters stores etc., who had to keep a small stock of daggers for parade use, but did not want to pay extra for the etched balde..no need! Anyway, that\'s my theory! Nice looking dagger, clean, undamaged celluliod over wood grip. Nice brass fittings, very clean, bright blade, needle sharp. scabbrd is in good condition. A few light carrying knocks, but no serious damage. I know everyone likes an etched blade, but plain ones are MUCH rarer.
LUFTWAFFE 2nd. Pattn dagger, complete rig.!TIGER! Always a favourite dagger of mine, they just look right!! The proportions are good and the design is a classic type. Downswept crossguard, heart shaped pommel etc etc. This daggers was purchased as acomplete rig from my local auction. It\'s quite obvious that everything has always been together since this came back from the war as a souvenir. Knot is tied correctly and has been there for ever. Hangers look to have been attached to the rings and not removed. Has a great cream/white grip with no damage, silvered wire intact. Scabbard has a lot of the original blued finish present. Blade is marked with the sideways TIGER trademark. (I remember several years ago going to a dealer friend who had just purchased a Luftwaffe collection. It was ONLY 2nd Pattn Luftwaffe daggers, and there were about 300 of them. It was a sight to behold I can assure you!!!!) Blade is very bright and clean, and has quite a good percentage of crossgraining, however it is not mint and has some old finger smudges here and there.
LUFTWAFFE OFFICERS PARADE SWORD. Aluminium type. I have been so surprised how difficult good Luftwaffe swords are to find these days. I have only had a few this year and all have sold really quickly. This is an all aluminium version and is complete with the crescent hanger to the scabbard. Maker is SMF, with the seated king logo! Blade is also marked with a number \'214\', this is also repeated on the top scabbard mount. Aluminium fittings are all very bright. Gilt to the pommel swastika has faded away, but is still very obvious on the crossguard. Leather to the grip is slightly scuffed, but 100%. Scabbard leather is again very good, with a small piece missing along one seam, very small. Once again, a very collectable piece.
Luftwaffe sword by Helbeig re-listed as now complete
MOST UNUSUAL HJ dagger. Double marked/personalised. This is a very nice HJ dagger, with a twist for the HJ collectors out there. Firstly has been personalised with the addition of a metal rank pip to the crossguard strap. This is a later dagger, post 1938, so does not have the \'Blut und Ehre\' on the blade. However, it seems to be an early blade used as old stock in a later dagger. Reverse of the blade is stamped with the ED WUSTOF maker and Trident, however the obverse of the blade is stamped on the riccasso with the RZM M7/12 1940. M7/12 is actually the number for, Waffenfabrik Max Weyersberg!!!! The blade is 100% original, so Wustof must have sold Weyersberg some dagger blades!! Most unusual. Blade is near mint. Scabbard paint is all original and nearlly 100% complete. A good dagger and a great anomoly.
Near MINT SA dagger RZM maker, with hanger. Again once common, but now a near mint RZM dagger is a good collectors item, and hard to find. Just purchased direct from the English veterans family, along with a nice dress bayonet (listed elsewhere), this is a super conditioned SA dagger with RZM M7/37 (Robert Klaas). Has 99% or the original brown paint to the scabbard, a few spots to the reverse. All nikel plated fittings show no lifting or bubbling!!! Are perfect. Brown wood grip is beautiful and fits crossguards like a glove. Blade is 99% mint with all crossgraining and burnish to the motto. Scabbard has the original short leather hanger and metal snout clip. Leather is deeply stamped with RZM numbers, clip has RZM numbers on reverse.
Nr MINT NSKK CHAINED DAGGER-EICKHORN!!!!! I am very pleased to offer this dagger back into the collecting community. It is a near perfect example of the TEXTBOOK NSKK 1936 CHAINED officers dagger by Carl Eickhorn. Whilst other manufacturers made these, EICKHORN are the permier and renown maker, if you are going to own one, buy an EICKHORN made variety. Dagger is a typical , later RZM type, but with all the Eickhorn characteristics. Dagger is in near mint condition, with no lifting on the crossguards etc. Near perfect grip, lovely piece of deep wood. Grip eagle is nickel silver as was common on early RZM pieces. Blade is beautiful with 100% crossgraining and 100% burnishing to the motto and trademark. Revers of balde has the classic double trademark of the Eickhorn squirrel and the RZM M7/66 above it. Scabbrd has 99% of ALL the ORIGINAL black paint, beautiful condition here. The nickel plated chains are slightly dull, but has all the nickel plating and a light polish would bring them up a treat. The reverse of the chains are stamped on the links nearest the scabbard, one side with the \'Musterschutz NSKK-Korpsfuhrung\' and the ASSMANN \'RZM M5\' on the other link. Scabbard throat is the commonly noticed thicker type used by Eickhorn. A really, really nice dagger. I know everyone loves a SS chained dagger, but THESE ARE FAR RARER. In this condition, you can\'t go wrong.
NSKK CHAINED, EICKHORN DOUBLE PROOF RZM etc. SUPERB! I was very pleased to be able to buy this very nice NSKK chained dagger. Virtually text-book in every respect. It is a long time since I have owned one of these, the last one was purchased for a client and never made it to the site!! Eickhorn were the main producer of these things it seems, although there are aother real makers out there. However, Eickhorn is the maker everyone wants and trusts. Dagger itself is a typical Eickhorn RZM type, nice grip, perfect plating to the crossguards, and aluminium inset grip eagle. Blade is beautiful, mint with all the crossgraining. Has the Eickhorn squirrel as well as the RZM code mark M7/66 1938. I have not had a NSKK cahined dagger with this early a date on the blade, usually it\'s 1940, although I have had 1939 too. Scabbard is painted black, and has 95% original paint, with some minor chips and scratches. NSKK chains are beautiful and have a great deal of the original nickel plating on 90% of the surfaces. Chain links are stamped with the \"NSKK Musterschütz Korpsfuhrüng\" and the “RZM M5/8”. (Assmann), both on the links nearest the scabbard. I know for a fact that NSKK chained daggers are much harder to find than a SS chained dagger, and in my opinion rarer in good condition. I just don\'t see tham any more. A great conditioned dagger and worthy addition to any collection.
NSKK early dagger! An early, all nickel fittings NSKK dagger, by Emil Voos. Whilst Voos is not a terribly rare maker, it is more unusual and not commonly found. Has nice lighter wood grip, which has beautiful vertical stripes in the grain. Scabbard has a really good gloss paint finish, I think it\'s not period, but also not recently done either as it has some age and small chips etc. Blade is virtually mint, with all the crossgaining and burnish in the motto etc. Good looking dagger.
PAIR OF IDENTICAL NAVY DAGGERS FROM SAME FAMILY!!!! I was lucky enough to recently add these two daggers to my stock, and they have been purchased directly from the original veterans family in the Birmingham area. (I purchased a similar pair of daggers in the Coventry area last year). These are not mint but certainly Exc++ and both are in the same condition. Both are by the same maker, Eickhorn, and have the later \'over the shoulder\' 1941 trademark. Blade are near mint, with all the charcoal grey background finish intact, so have never been polished!!! A couple of minor finger smudges on each blade. All fittings are brass and have much of the original fire gilt left on them. The scabbards are both the engraved types and have a lot of the gilt remaining in the unexposed parts, beside the scabbard bands etc etc. They really are a matched pair, and should not really be split, as they came back from the war like this, and should end their days together!!! Great pair of Kreigsmarine daggers.(price for the pair, but will possibly split)
PERSONALISED/DEDICATED NAVY DAGGER BY HOLLER!!!! This is a navy dagger with EVERYTHING going for it! Has a SAILING ship etched balde by HOLLER, original bullion knot. Scabbard has a beautiful, two line presentation/dedication dated 1941, and in the next space on the scabbard the owners initials \'WF\' are engraved also. The script reads as follows \"GEWIDMET-VON-NACHTRICHTENBAUR OFF WEIHACHTEN 1941\" (roughly a gift from signals officers with respect 1941) If anyone has a better, accurate translation, please let me know. A wonderful navy dagger and possibly researchable. Personalised navy daggers are pretty rare, and this is a nice example.
RAD hewer, with original leather hanger. Hammesfar maker. A good, used example of an early period RAD man\'s hewer. Has maker of Gottleib Hammesfar to the reverse side, has slighly faded with polishing/use. Good clear motto on main side of the blade. Good quality stag grips, one slightly loose, but will leave as is. All nickel fittings, hilt and scabbard. This is an uncleaned piece with some patina. Scabbard paint is original and rates about 95% with some surface wear etc. Has attached the original leather hanger, nickel clip is marked and the leather leg piece is in great condition. Overall a good, collectable item. As usual, heavy as hell!!
RAD Officers dagger by Eickhorn. This is an unusual piece, as the hilt etc is brushed/cast aluminium and is finished in a rose colour. The scabbard is silver plated and has toned down to a greater extent than the hilt.Aluminium does not age very quickly, so the silver plated scabbard is a different colour to the hilt. I am sure this dagger has been together always. The blade is lovely and is virtually mint. The aluminium hilt and cream grips are also in near perfect condition.
RAD Officers dress dagger. Excellent!!! RAD Officers daggers are always a pleasing design. Quite delicate in their form!! This is a lovely example by \'Paul Selheimer\', a not-so-common maker of these. retaines nearly ALL of the silver plating everywhere, just a slight thinning area near the grip and some slight bubbling on the eagles head. Nice undamaged cream grips. Super looking crossguard area. Perfect scabbard, with evidence of the silver lacquer/frosting underneath the crossguard area. Blade is near mint, with perfect motto and background. Some very slight surface scratches, other than that near mint!
Rare ARMY dagger, straps and knot by FRIDERICUS!!! I do not remember having a army dagger by this maker, and checking Tom Wittmann\'s army book, they seem to be pretty rare. This example is actually identical to the one pictured in Tom\'s book in every way. Unfortunately, my example has a cracked celluloid grip, which has been there a very long time. No material missing and some dirt has got into the crack after all these years. This dagger is totally uncleaned and is very dark with patina etc. Blade is virtually mint, with crossgraining. Original bullion knot is lovely, and this is complete with a very nice set of hanging straps. RARE dagger maker.
Rare army officers dagger.EP&S. According to Tom Wittmann\'s army book, this maker on an army dagger is pretty rare. Ernst Pack and Sonne, with the large flamboyant logo! Dagger is in lovely condition, beautiful tangerine orange grip, good fittings, perfect scabbard and a mint blade. Can\'t say much more. !!!
RARE Officer short pattn. SAWBACK Fire bayonet + frog. I have not had a nice example of this edged weapon for ages. This is a near perfect example of the SHORT sawback Fire bayonet, by EICKHORN. Near perfect nickel plating on the hilt, great checquered grips. Near perfect scabbard paint. Blade is wonderful, short carbine type with saw-back edge, razor sharp!!! Great Eickhorn stamped 1938 trademark. there is a brown leather frog, not sure if this is period, or indeed German, but came with the bayonet, so have left it on.
RARER MAKER EARLY SA + PERSONALISED+ !!!!!!! Early SA daggers are always a lovely dagger to own and handle, this is a really great example indeed. In beautiful condition, with all the brown anodised finsih to the scabbard, plus a fair bit of the original lacquer. Solid nickel fittings in perfect condition. Lower crossguard marked with a \'P\' (Potsdam). reverse of the top scabbard fitting has a fantastic bit of ORIGINAL, PERIOD personalised engraving. The letters \'JB\' are intertwined and underneath are two elongated oak leaves. Beautiful jeweller engraving here, absolutely 200% period. Blade is beautiful with all the crossgraining, etched maker mark is WAGNER and LANGE-Solingen. Rated 7 out of 10 on the rareity scale, not a maker I have had before. To finish the dagger off, there is a complete 3-piece hanger in excellent condition. Small leather loop to snap around grip, is perfect. An absolutely great, complete dagger (3 piece hanger is worth £150 on it\'s own!)
Red Cross man\'s dagger, with original frog. This has proved to be a good and popular dagger. Used to be easier to find, but no longer. Purchased from America as I could not find a decent one here for a reasonable price. Dagger has been uncleaned for MANY years, lots of paina, bit grubby, but fine underneath. Plating all intact, original black paint to the scabbard. Blade has the normal razor-sharp saw-back edge. In very good condition, with a few age spots. Original black leather frog has never been off the dagger.
Red Cross Man\'s sawback dagger with frog. An excellent example, shoing a little age to the scabbard, but otherwise a very nice piece. Blade is virtually mint, with no blemishes at all. Scabbard has some paint missing to the reverse lower area. Original frog in place. Good plating to hilt fittings etc.
RED CROSS OFFICERS DAGGER WITH ORANGE GRIP. A fantastic looking dagger here, as the nickel plating is very bright and the grip is a super tangerine orange colour. Contrast is great. Perfect grip, nice plating to all pommel, crossguard and scabbard body. Blade has all of the crossgraining present, but has a couple of areas when it has been exposed to some sort of moisture and it has marked the otherwise perfect blade.
RED CROSS/SOCIAL WELFARE DAGGER with original knot. A very clean and good looking example of a Red Cross Officers dress dagger, with the scabbard that has round apertures for the hanging straps. Supposed to be \'Social Welfare\', however I have always beleived that this is just a manufacturing design difference between companies. The designation of \'Social Wefare\' would be in the TYPE of hangers worn with the dagger, not just the type of suspension holes!!! Anyway, really nice dagger with lemon yellow celluloid grip. Tiny hair crack to the grip, but is hidden by the original bullion knot. Dagger has never been taken apart it seems as the star nut in the pommel is undamaged. Very good silver plating to all of the metal surfaces. A few age spots to the scabbard. Blade is very clean indeed. Not quite mint, as it\'s very slightly greying. Super looking dagger.
RLB Officers dagger straps. Superb condition. Straps for most daggers are always hard to find. Usually discarded and the dagger kept! This is a great pair of the leather straps for the 2nd. PAttn. RLB Officers dagger. Dark blue leather straps are very supple and near perfect condition. The metal clips and slides are the army type, but the top snap clip is UNIQUE to RLB straps. Reverse is marked with RZM and M5/10. Not really upgrade-able. Sold at Bedford
SAWBACK HUNTING DAGGER DEDICATED!! See under IMPERIAL DAGGERS for this important piece
SAWBACK IMPERIAL HUNTING DAGGER DEDICATED!! A most unusual Hunting piece here. Pobablly Imperial, but could be from the early 1930\'s too. Sawback blade, blued steel fittings and a beautiful jeweller engraved two line dedication as a gift from one friend to another. One name on the engraving has been deliberately erased for some reason, but the rest is perfect. Big. solid stag grip. Dark brown leather scabbard complete with smaller skinning knife. Heavy piece, with great historical importance.
SENIOR FORESTRY ASSOCIATION CUTLASS. Third Reich era. A very good, clean example of a Hunting Association cutlass. Beautiful triple etched blade, showing all the hunting scenes normally associated, deer and hunters and dogs etc., but no maker. (unusual). Scabbard is in great condition, all brass fittings, and decent solid black leather base. Hilt is solid brass and has been gilded, small areas remain. The white grips designate a senior rank, all acorns are present on both sides of the grips. No damage. Scabbard leather is black and undamaged. A very good, solid example. Reasonably priced.
SHORT PATTERN PARADE BAYONET A godd example of a maker marked short parade bayonet by WKC. Nickel plated pommel and crossguard. Black painted scabbard. Nickel plated short blade, single edge. Some slight lifting to the nickel plating where the scabbard runners have lain.
SS OFFICERS EARLY NICKEL SWORD-uncleaned!!! I am very pleased to offer , what has become a rare and highly collectable piece. This is a classic, early, nickel SS Officers sword in untouched condition!!!! It is NOT mint, has been loving cleaned over the past 70 years, but still retains patina and all the features you would expect. Firstly, this is a non-take down piece, as all early SS swords are. The pommel unscrews, revealing a metal cap, which covered the lock nuts inside the grip. Later SS swords are made like Police swords, and once the pommel in unscrewed, the sword comes apart!! So therefore this is a totally 100% original piece! Grip is ebony with no damage. SS runes button is perfectly fixed, never been messed with, has metal polish residue all around the edges, as has the grip wire. SS button has lost most of the background black definition behind the SS runes, due to polishing over the years. All fittings to the hilt, knucklebow etc are all solid nickel. There is the stamped small SS runes underneath the crossguard and on the top throat of the scabbard. As you can see from the photos, both these areas have escaped cleaning and both have identical yellow patina to the metal surfaces. Scabbard is perfect, however as is quite common, the upper and lower scabbard fittings are nickel plated STEEL. Scabbard paint is virtually 100%, however it seems to be an original re-paint, as most of the original paint is visible underneath. I have seen this done many times before, it is certainly NOT a modern spray job, looks excellent. Blade is completely unmarked, again very common with SS Officer swords. It has remained un-polished, so is in the original matt finish that these blades are supposed to be.Blade length is 33\", scabbard is 34\". I can really count on one hand, the amount of ORIGINAL SS Officers swords I have handled, far rarer than 1936 chained daggers. A great opportunity to acquire a real, untouched example.
SS \'33 dagger with vertical hanger, but water damaged blade. Purchased from a long time collector, this is a great looking SS dagger, but very sadly the blade has been exposed to moisture over a long period of time and it has etched into the surface. It actually looks as though it\'s an artificial damascus blade!!! Not deep, but seems to be permanent I am afraid. Blade is by Hammesfar. All other parts of the dagger are super. Great solid ebony grip, all nickel fittings to crossguard etc. Nice painted scabbard is 99% . Even has a good vertical hanger! If a better blade was found, then this is a £2000+ dagger. Priced accordingly.
Super EARLY SA dagger by Gebruder Heller Found this beauty in a watch repair shop in Salinas, California last month. Was in America for a funeral, then was trapped by the ash cloud, so went searching all the antique/pawn shops etc. This is the ONLY thing I found, but it is a lovely dagger. Classic SA dagger with quality all early fittings in solid nickel. Has been uncleaned for many years, so nicely toned.Grip is a beautiful piece of wood. There are a couple of \'bruises\' to the surface, one on the front above the nickel eagle, which is quite deep and one to the reverse, on the high point of the grip edge. No cracks or damage, just careless handling. SA button and eagle are perfect. Crossguard marked with \'BO\' Gau stamp. Top reverse crossguard has some scratches to the surface, look recent, as if the dagger was dropped recently.Gebruder Heller are quite a common maker, but they made a quality dagger in every way. It\'s estimated they made about 46,000 Sa daggers. Scbbard has all of the original brown anodising and looks great. The snap clip from the original hanging strap is still on the scabbard ring, I have left it as I found it.
Third Reich naval Officers parade sword. Eickhorn. I have not had a good navy sword for quite a while. I really find them attractive and have now become very rare in good condition. This is not a Weimar period sword, as the Eickhorn stamped trademark on the pipe-back blade is the 1938 type!! All brass fittings on the hilt, crossguard and scabbard fittings are all lovely. White celluloid grip is perfect and wrapped with triple brass wire. Folding front and rear crossguards are perfect.Reverse marked with issue number O (for Ostsee)3107 Scabbard is in perfect condition, hard, black leather with no damage. Triple brass scabbard fittings with hanging rings. Blade is in mint condition. Pipe-backed and Eickhorn marked. A STAMPED trademark, not one of the fake etched types!!!! A really superb sword and rarer than a Luftwaffe sword!!!
Third Reich Navy officers dagger by Eickhorn. I have always liked navy daggers, they remain one of the most attractive German daggers, in my opinion. Has a good covering of original gilt, especially on the pommel and the hilt. Grip is a nice cream celluloid, with no damage or cracks. Scabbard has some gilt to the top half, a few slight dents to the lower part of the scabbard. Blade is very nice indeed. There is a finger smudge to the ricasso of the blade, preventing it from being mint. However, the rest of the blade is clean, and the charcoal background etch is perfect. A very good example of a navy dagger.
THIRD REICH SHORT K98 PARADE BAYONET A good example of the short pattern bayonet used on the K98 rifle. Nickle plated pommel and hilt. Black painted scabbard. Clean nickle plated blade, but is completely unmarked. Would look excellent with a frog and parade knot.
Third Reich/Weimar era Senior Forestry Assoc.cutlass This is a nice early cutlass, by ALCOSO. Has the earlier 1930\'s ACS over scales trademark, stamped into the blade. Cream grips seem to be real IVORY rather than the celluloid ones used later. Brass fittings throughout. All acorns present on the grip plates. Black leather scabbard. Blade has very nice, clear and deep etching. There are two small rust pits, where the runners have rested against the blade, but not an issue at all. 99% of the blade is fine. Good looking cutlass.
Uncleaned WKC army officers dagger. This is a very nice, not mint, but totally untouched army dagger, coming directly from a veteran source and never been in a collection. Nice orange type grip. Good patina all over the silver plated fittings. MINT WKC marked blade, with all crossgraining and needly sharp point. Army daggers are still quite common, but more difficult to find in good, untouched condition. This is a classic WKC piece, with the famous \'hatchet shaped\' eagles beak on the crossguard.
UNCLEANED/UNTOUCHED SS 1933 dagger. KLAAS!!!!!!!!! I am always excited to be able to list a dagger like this. Never been in a collection, but purchased from a direct source after being found recently in the Noth of England. This is a beautiful, untouched SS \'33 mans dagger by Robert Klaas. All the nickel fittings have been unpolished and have gathered a great yellow patina. the black ebony grips has some age to it, but no chips or damage at all. Nickel grip eagle sits beautifully in the wood and the SS runes button is perfect. Scabbard has no dents or creases and is the anodised type. there is some light surface rust spotting, but nothing serious at all, just adds the 70 years of character. The blade is 99.9% mint, it was still in green cosmoline grease when I pulled it out, so have just tken that off to make sure the blade is fine. Apart from some in & out light surface scratching, present on most blades, there is 100% crossgraining and 100% background anodising in the motto and trademark. The Klaas trademark of two kissing Cranes is perfect. (the smearing/cloudy part on the blade is the remains of the cosmoline, easily wiped off) The lower crossguard is deeply stamped with the Roman numeral \'I\'. SS daggers will always be very collectable, and their value continues to firm. A very good example.
UNTOUCHED EARLY RARE MAKER SA DAGGER! SA daggers continue to rise in value, and with the issue of several excellent books recently, interest is always high. Never been in a collection before, and purchased directly by myself. this is an early, all nickel piece by C.SCHLEIPER Solingen, with an \'EYE\' as a trademark. Dagger is completely uncleaned and is fact quite dirty. All nickel parts have gone a dark yellow. Scabbard has much of the original brown anodising, but also has a couple of small, but quite deep rust pits. They are not really noticeable though. Blade is very nice, lots of crossgraining, but there are a few finger smudges. Maker is extremely rare and rates a 9 on the rarely scale, 10 being the rarest. Probably only about 1000 of this maker ever made!
VERY EARLY SS/SA VERTICAL HANGER-GREAT! Before standardisation of the \'coffin\' shaped vertical RZM type hanger, the early ones were made by leather shops, personally or by a local craftsman. They all did the job,but they all looked different! This is a superb, non-standard SS type vertical hanger for the 1933 dagger. Is in beautiful used condition, and has been on a dagger for quite some time as it has formed to a shape. No markings of course, as this hanger must date from the early 1930\'s. Everytthing is supple and the snap clip works. All ready to go back on a nice uncleaned SS \'33 dagger. Looks similar to a vertical hanger shown on page 597 of Tom Witmann\'s SS book. But as I said, early hand made hangers were all unique, this is a 100% original piece! (hold Tony R)
Very nice Eickhorn navy dagger, with bullion knot!!!! Always a very popular dagger, as navy pieces look so good! Something to do with all the gilt and brass I think. This is an extremely nice Eickhorn naval officers dagger complete with the original bullion knot, tied in the original way. A great deal of gilt left on the crossguard and pommel, a nice grip, no damage. Blade is virtually mint and has all the coal black/grey etch. Stamped 1938 Eickhorn trademark. Scabbard has some gilt left, and down towards the bottom, there are some \'train door\' dents.
WKC NAVY DAGGER, ORANGE GRIP, HAMMERED SCABBARD & HANGERS!!! I have always been extremely fond of navy daggers, I find them elegant and beautiful to look at. This example is all of that and more!!! Has beautiful solid celluloid grip that is a tangerine orange colour. All brass fittings are in excellent condition, there is some original gilt left, but mainly just a great brass colour. Scabbard is the hammered variety, is a little worn with use to the surfaces, but also has the reef knot suspension bands. Blade is a classic WKC type being slightly thinner than say the Eickhorn blade. However, it is in MINT condition with deep etching background, contrasted with the 100% bright plated blade. Looks fantastic. Dagger also has a matching pair of navy hangers in near mint condition. I could take these off and sell them separately, but have opted to leave with the dagger!!! A great looking rig.
