This is the scarce Connors patent with the large circular bulb in the neck and a pear shape stopper (this model with the large bulb in the neck is much harder to find than the smaller bulb type).Aquare colored bulb neck bottle,obverse side embossed,SPENCER CONNOR & CO MANCHESTER,the reverse side of the bottle is embossed,CONNORS PATENT STOPPERS,REDFEARN BROS BOTTLE MAKERS BARNSLEY,the interior of the bottle has a pear shaped stopper rather than the standard circular stopper,the idea of this patent was to stop young children braking the bottle to obtain the marble,the rarity of this patent/bottle suggest that it was not very successful as only a few other UK mineral water manufacturers took to using pear shape or slug stoppers. This superb condition dark green codd bottle is embossed,J.W.BRIGHT,PURE WATERS,RUSHDEN.Reverse of the bottle features the bottle makers name,DOBSON & NALL LTD,BOTTLE & CASE MAKERS,BARNSLEY.The base of the bottle is emossed BRIGHT.There is a swirley line running through the glass at the bottom part of the bottle,but this was caused during manufacture,it is not damage and is actually rather attractive.A perfect example no chips, cracks or other damage. The bottle is embossed,J.W.BRIGHT,PURE WATERS,RUSHDEN.Makers name to reverse,Dobson & Nall Ltd Barnsley.There is a manufacturing flaw in the glass of the bottle which is a swirley line that goes partly around the bottle,whear it ends it almost looks like a small crack but it is not. 10oz DARK GREEN CODD BOTTLE. A beautiful condition very dark green codd bottle embossed,FURNIVAL & CO,FLECKNEY, LEICESTER.The reverse of the bottle is embossed with the makers name,DOBSON & NAIL LTD,BOTTLE AND CASE MAKERS , BARNSLEY.The base of the bottle is embossed F.F.It is very difficult to find the Furnival green codd,there were a few about years ago but they all seem to be in collections now.No chips,crack or other damage. A very good 10oz emerald green codd bottle,the bottle is embossed,THE SCARBORO & WHITBY BREWERIES LTD,CRYSTALIS WATERS,TM two large fish in a fountain design.The reverse of the bottle has the glass manufacturers name,E.BREFFIT & CO LTD MAKERS CASTLEFORD.A very nice example of this classic codd bottle. 10oz PICTORIAL GREEN CODD,LAPIDUS MANCHESTER. A very rare lime green codd embossed,M LAPIDUS,MOUNT PLEASANT,MANCHESTER,with the trade mark of a very large peacock bird.The base of the bottle is embosed,TBM M.L.This is a very difficult lime green codd to find (this colour seems to be almost unique to LAPIDUS,the example sold recently in the BBR auction was an identical colour).There is a very slight depression to the side of the bottle,this could be a manufacturing flaw or perhaps a small burst air bubble has been expertly polished out in the past,this is very minor and can not be seen when displayed. 1935 ROYAL COMEMORATIVE PLATE. This large commemorative plate is split into 3 sections,the upper two compartments feature full colour Royal coat of arms,with inscription,LONG MAY THEY REIGN,the lower compartment features full colour portraits of Queen Mary and King George the 5th,and below that silver jubilee May 6th 1935 with Royal standards behind.Makers name to reverse,it is rather faint but appears to be,Web Kent Ltd made in England,there is a small chip to the reverse but it is glazed over so it was obviously done during manufacture and so would not be considered as damage. An amber dumpy codd in good condition but in need of a good professional clean.The bottle is embossed,CODDS PATENT 4,SOLE MAKERS CODD & RYLANDS BARNSLY,there is no other embossing to the bottle.There is no chips or cracks to this bottle but the glass is cloudy with staining to the interior and exterior of the bottle,it needs a good professional clean.The bottle was discovered recently in Newcastle with an Elands cobalt blue hamilton and a few other items so it probably originates from that part of the country.Very reasonably priced,if I decide to get the bottle professionally cleaned the asking price will probably double. This is a rare very large size jug with handle to reverse and with light brown top,those normally seen are much smaller than this example.The jug features a highly detailed black transfer of 3 Scottish gentlemen sitting around a table drinking whisky with fire place and long case clock in the background and with a dog sitting below the tabble,registration diamond at bottom of transfer.Above the transfer is the legend,And heres a hand my trusty frien,And gies a hand o'thine,And we'll tak a right guid whillie waught,For auld lang syne.Kennedy of Glasgow pottery stamp to base.Hight just over 12 inches. BATCHELOR PONTILED GLASS BOTTLE CIRCA 1820. Small square English pontilled aqua colored bottle embossed,BATCHELORS NO2 HAIR DYE LIQUID.Extremly crude pontil mark to base.Some cloudy marks to glass but the bottle appears to be earlier than the other example I have listed.Under 3 inches in height. BATCHELORS PONTILED GLASS BOTTLE CIRCA 1820. A very nice square pontlled aqua bottle,embossed on all four sides,BATCHELORS NO1 HAIR DYE LIQUID.Very crude pontil mark to base,superb condition.Just under 3 inches in height. [Condition: Mint]

BEAR GREASE POT LID. Pictorial black and white pot lid,JAMES ATKINSONS BEARS GREASE,24 OLD BOND STREET,LONDON,Price 2/6,the lid features a large picture of a chained bear.Bears grease was a Victorian cure for hear loss,this unpleasant concoction produced from the fat layer below the bears fur was rubbed into the scalp of the head to increase the growth of hair. [Condition: Mint]

BEARS GREASE COLOURED POT LID. A very nice pratt ware pot lid,the lid portrays a caged bear at a zoo being teased by two boys.There are a couple of tiny nicks to the base of the lid,these are very minor and hardly worth mentioning,the face of the lid is perfect and the colours and print of the lid are very good. [Condition: Near Mint]

BEARS GREASE POT LID, ALAS POOR BRUIN. A superb colored Pratt ware lid,I recently sold another example of this lid but this one is far nicer with better colour and print and the condition is mint.The lid depicts a number of Victorian boys tormenting a bear and its keeper by throwing snow balls,in the background there is a school for boys and an inn which is named,THE BEAR INN. BEAVIS PATENT CODD BOTTLE. A very interesting 10oz Beavis patent codd (the bottle groove goes up the side of the neck rather than across).The front of the bottle is embossed in large letters,C.E.Beavis Bristol with the TM of a windmill.Reverse of bottle is embossed Beavis Shape,Powell & Ricketts makers Bristol.It is interesting to note that this mineral water manufacturer was also the person who designed and patented the Beavis patent.Some slight cloudiness to the inside of the bottle but it should clean,no chips or cracks. BEAVIS PATENT CODD BOTTLE. A very nice 10oz Beavis patent codd bottle.Obverse side of bottle is embossed,G.C.KING.The reverse side is embossed with a trade mark of a very large picture of an elderly man bursting out of an acorn and offering a bottle of drink that appears to be a hamilton bottle,below this is embossed ,BRISTOL.Both sides of the neck are heavily embossed with a large letter K,this is probably to reinforce the strength of the neck in the same way as the Shaws patent. BELLARMINE STONWARE JUG. This is a superb tiger glazed bellarmine jug dating from the 1650s.The neck of the jug features the bearded man face being a representation of Cardinal Bellermine,below this is a large medallion featuring the Tudor rose design.The jug is complete with the original stonware handle.There are a few small scuffs and nicks to the bellermine especially close to the base but these are very minor especially when one considers the age of the jug.A very nice example from an old collection.Height just under 10 inches in total. CHAPMANS PATENT BALL STOPPER MINERAL WATER BOTTLE. 10oz aqua colored glass bottle embossed GULIVER AYLESBURY,fantistic heavily embossed TM of a Victorian gentleman holding an over size huge hamilton bottle,as the cork pops out his top hat is also launched into space (this is a fantastic comical TM that should appeal to the hamilton collector as well as the mineral water bottle collector).The reverse of the bottle is embossed,CHAPMANS PATENT STOPPER BIRKENHEAD.The interior of the bottle still retains the ball stopper.Some interior and exterior staining to the bottle which could easily be removed by cleaning. COBALT BLUE CILINDER MINERAL WATER BOTTLE. A good 10oz example of the large cobalt blue cylinder for mineral water embossed on the obverse side,PHILLIPS & ALLEN CARLISLE,the obverse side is embossed with the company TM large entwined letter P& A.The bottle has few minor scratches and a tiny mark to the inner lip but this is a very nice example of a scarce cobalt blue mineral water bottle and rare in this condition. COBALT BLUE CODD BOTTLE. 6oz cobalt blue Dobson patent codd bottle.This is one of the most sort after of all bottles for a collector to obtain and they are extremely rare and dificult to find.This example is embossed WADSWORTHS CAMBRIDE MINERAL WATERS with there EAC monogram TM,the bottle was manufactured by,E.Breffit & Co Ld,makers,Castlford.Base of the bottle is marked 8134.This bottle as stated above is a Dobson patent with the four circular indents in the neck to retain the marble during pouring the contents.This company used various shades of blue glass for there codd bottles from copper blue to deep cobalt blue,this example is probably the darkest blue glass they used (darker the blue the moor desirable the bottle becomes).The bottle has probably had an expert glass re-polish in the past but it is so well accomplished it is very difficult to say for shaw.There is no repairs or damage to the bottle,it is a superb example.Although there were thousands of mineral water company's in England from the 1870s to the 1920s which used aqua and coloured codd bottles it is believed that there are only about 10 English company's that used blue codd bottles.This bottle is for sale but I would also consider high quality trade items. CODD HAMILTON HYBRID BOTTLE WITH AMBER MARBLE. A 6oz aqua codd Hamilton hybrid bottle (Codd top with Hamilton point base),but this example is extremely rare as it has a amber glass marble rather than the normal aqua marble.The bottle is embossed,THE SHILLING AERATED FACTORY KIMBERLEY,the embossing is a little weak but it is still easy to read.The glass marble in the neck of the bottle is dark amber glass.The bottle is mint other than a little bit of dullness to the base of the bottle.The hamilton silver stand shown in one of the photographs is for display only and it is not included in the price but it can be purchased separately if required. DARK AMBER GLASS SELTZER BOTTLE. A very nice dark amber dumpy seltzer mineral water glass bottle,the bottle has some very attractive amber swirls running through the glass of the bottle.The bottle is embosed,CATLEY ABBEY NATURAL SELTZER and features a very large detailed picture of the Catley Abbey buildings.Base of bottle is embossed 7344.There is one tiny little bruise to the side of the lip of the bottle but this is very minor and it certainly displays very nicly.Hight just over 5 inches. DARK GREEN GLASS BEER BOTTLE,CHAMBERS NORTHAMPTON. This is a very nice 1/2 pint size dark green beer bottle.The bottle is embossed,TOM CHAMBERS,AMGEL STREET,NORTHAMPTON,TM large star with company initials.Reverse side features makers name,KILNER BROS MAKERS LONDON.Complete with original company maker marked internal screw stopper.There is a slight warp to the top of the neck of the bottle,this is not damage it is a manufacturers fault & it is a rather attractive feature of the bottle.This company was established for a number of years from 1894-1910.Bottles from this company are very difficult to find,this beer bottle is probably un-recorded. DARK GREEN GLASS EMBOSSED PONTILLED HAMILTON. A superb dark green glass pontilled hamilton bottle dating from about 1820.The bottle is embossed on the obverse side,SOLD BY R.JOHNSTON , 15 GREEK ST, SOHO LONDON,the reverse side is embossed,HAMILTONS PATENT AERATED WATERS & CO.Very squat form,this example looks considerably earlier than the Johnston example we sold last year,it is also embossed differently.Early style thin rime lip,superb crude pontill mark to base.There is one old and very small star crack to the neck of the bottle,it is stable & been there for years ,it could also possibly be a manufactures fault rather than latter damage,it certainly will not get worse,there is also light age wear to the bottle but over all it is still very nice.An example in slightly better condition sold in BBR auction recently for over £3000.00.Bargain price. A very nice Doulton brown salt glazed flintlock pistol whisky advertising flask.This finely modeled and extremely rare flask is modeled life size at just over 9 inches long.The top of the pistol just below the barrel features the wording,DEWARS PERTH WHISKY,the reverse lock plate features the letters D.P.W.The base of the handle of the pistol is stamped,DOULTON LAMBETH ENGLAND with artist initials.The pistol has at some time in the past had the barrel expertly repasired,it appears that the barrel has been broken just below the lock plate and then expertly re-applied,it was repaired when I purchased the flask so I have no idea by who or when it was repaired.Rare flask would probably sell for over £1000 if perfect. DOULTON INK WELL MODELED AS A GRUMPY OLD LADY. This superb ink well is designed in the image of a very stern looking old lady with crossed arms and with a very annoyed expression on here face and it is often known as the ' Virago' pattern.The base of the ink well is formed as a blue/green glazed dress with small blue apron,her head and shoulders which are hinged lifts to display the ink reservoir,she is wearing a brown blouse and she has gray hair with a very stern expression on here face.As is normally the case with this pattern ink well the hinge has been expertly repaired (the head is far to heavy for the body and the weight normally brakes the hinge).Base marked Royal Doulton England,model number and artists initials LB (probably miss L.Bowen).Superb looking rare inkwell [Condition: Near Mint]

DOULTON LEMONADE JUG BY GEORGE TINWORTH. A superb looking lemonade jug by probably Doultons most famous and desirable artist George Tinworth,he is especially well know for his whimsical mice and frog groups which sell for many thousands of pounds.The jug is produced in a blue and brown glaze with a floral design and with the typical Tinworth seaweed efect,the side of the jug is stamped with Tinworths initials GT,Tinworth was one of only a very few Doulton artists who signed there items on the side rather than on the base.The large handle to the reverse also features a very attractive floral pattern.The jug is fitted with a solid silver English hall marked silver collar with hinged lid,something seen on only the finest quality Doulton lemonade jugs. The base is marked DOULTON LAMBETH 1877 and several other marks.There is a chip to the base of the jug which has been repaired in the past,there is also some old staining to the external base of the jug.If not for the base repair the jug would be priced at about £1000.00.Bargain price,you would probably have to pay almost the asking price for just the lid if you needed one to complete a jug.Height 10 inches. A very attractive Doulton produced stone ginger beer bottle with white glazed body and brown top.Transferred printed,V.J.CULVERHOUSE,CELEBRATED GINGER BEER,UPPER HARDING ST,NORTHAMPTON,the base of the transfer is also marked DOULTON LAMBETH.Reverse of the bottle has a Doulton Lambeth pottery stamp.There are a couple of tiny flakes from the base of the bottle but other than that it is inperfect condition.The Culverhouse Company ginger beer bottle is rather scarce and they do not become available very often as it was a very small company. DOULTON VASE WITH BIRD DESIGNS BY FLORANCE BARLOW. A superb Doulton blue and green glazed vase which features 4 large brown circular panels each featuring a detailed design of a bird drawn by Florence Barlow in the sgraffito technique.The base of the vase is stamped with Florence Barlow's unique initials FEB,the assistants artist initials EB which I believe is for Eliza Banks,Doulton lambeth stamp and date1876.There is one tiny hair line crack to the inside of the lip of the vase which is very difficult to see until pointed out,if the vase was perfect the asking price would be about double to the price featured on the site. This superb Doulton royal commemorative jug advertises,BULLARD & SONS LTD,ANCHOR BREWERY,NORWICH,a Norfolk company well know to collectors for there ginger beer bottles featuring there anchor TM.This brown jug with dark brown glazed top stands well over 8 inches in total height.Black transfer to the front of the jug with picture of a young and old Queen Victoria and with inscription,IN COMMEMORATION OF THE 60TH YEAR OF QUEEN VICTORIAS REIGN 1837/1897,below this in large black letters,BULLAD & SONS LTD,ANCHOR BREWERY,NORWICH.Handle to the reverse.Base marked DOULTON LAMBETH and with a number which is probably the model number.There are a couple of cracks to the reverse side of the jug,but the obverse side is perfect and it displays mint.A rare jug to find advertising a brewery. A rare 10oz lime green codd bottle embossed on the obverse side,THIS BOTTLE IS THE PROPERTY OF GEORGE PAUL LEICESTER,the reverse of the bottle is embossed in large letters,CODDS PATENT 4 LONDON SE,and below this,B.RYLANDS BOTTLE WORKS NEAR BARNSLEY (this bottle would date to the late 1870s).A very nice example no chips cracks or other damage,the 10oz size from this company is for some reason considerably harder to find than the 6oz size. EARLY NARROW NECK AMBER DUMPY CODD BOTTLE. This very early amber 10oz size dumpy codd is embossed on the obverse side F.H.BOWES KESWICK (a small town in the lake district in Cumbria England),the reverse side is embossed,CODDS PATENT LONDON 24 BARNETT & FOSTER SOLE AGENT LONDON.The neck of the bottle is the very early narrow type with mushroom type lip ,the base of the bottle is the early flat style which is typical for a very early example,the bottle probably dates to about 1876/77.The neck of the bottle has been expertly repaired probably by Simon Bennet or another quality restorer,the original neck has been expertly re-applied to the body of the bottle,impossible to see from the obverse and reverse sides,the repair can only be noticed when the side of the neck is carefully examined,this is an extremely good repair.This is one of only 3 examples known from this company all coming from the same location some years ago,it is highly unlikely if any others will be located,of the 3 bottles one is mint and the other two are restored this being the better of the two restored examples,the perfect example recently sold in a BBR auction for over £4000.00.Chance to own one of the rarest UK colored codds at a bargain price. Superb stoneware reform flask in the design of Daniel O'connell,he is holding in his hand a document with the wording,Irish reform cordial.Reverse has large pottery stamp,Denby & Codnor park,Bournes Poteries,Derbyshire.O'Connells head has at some time been knocked of,it is now fixed back into place,it is not noticeable until closely examined but it would probably benefit from professional restoration.Priced accordingly because of the damage. A superb blue and white stoneware Staffordshire under glaze transferred printed pap boat (invalid or baby feeder) dating from the 1820/40 period.The pap boat is beautifully transferred printed with various classical scenes.The base of the boat is marked with a blue numeral 2.There are two tiny little hair line glaze cracks on the opposite side to the handel,at least one of these appears to be a manufacturing flaw,very minor,but I feel that I must mention it. The hamilton bottle for mineral water was painted in 1814 but was probably used even before this date,the example I am offering for sale is a latter Victorian example produced in the 1870s.Aquar coloured glass 10oz size,the bottle is embossed,W.MAWSON MANUFACTURER LUTERWORTH (Leicerstershire),TM entwined initials.Some surface age marks but over all a good example,no chip,cracks or other damage. GREEN GLASS WARNERS SAFE NERVINE BOTTLE. A good 1/2 pint dark green bottle embossed,WARNERS SAFE NERVINE LONDON,TM picture of a large safe,a nice bottle heavily embossed dating from the late Victorian period.There is a few scratches to the outer surface of the bottle but nothing major and one tiny chip to the reverse base of the bottle but this is extremely minor,there is some faint staining to the interior of the bottle but this could be easily cleaned.Nice example recently discovered and which has never been a collection. GREEN NIAGARA PATENT CODD BOTTLE. A very nice 10oz size emerald green Niagara patent (four retaining lugs in neck rather the standard two) codd bottle.The bottle is embossed,THE EREWASH VALLEY BREWERY LIMITED ILKESTONE,the reverse side is heavily embossed with a large picture of an animals head with an arrow in its mouth.The base of the bottle is embossed,BREFFITS LTD MAKERS CASTLEFORD,THE NIAGARA BOTTLE RD 65433 6453.The bottle is produced in a very deep emerald green glass.The bottle has probably been expertly cleaned in the past but to a very high standard.A very nice example,a difficult to find pictorial colored codd patent. Superb black and white advertising pot lid,CHERRY TOOTH PASTE,the lid features bunches of cherries to the border,the center design is a detailed picture of a very scary looking old house,this lid is normally referred to by collectors as the haunted house pot lid.There is a tiny chip to the under side flange of the lid,but the front of the lid is perfect. HAYNES PATENT CODD BOTTLE. A good 10oz aqua glass example,bottle features a curved marble chamber and slug stopper instead of the standard circular marble.The bottle is embossed,THE PROPERTY OF MAYO & RUGG LTD,EARLSDON,COVENTRY with the trade mark of a large star with initials to centre.The reverse of the bottle is embossed,HAYNES PATENT BOTTLE RD 27087.The base of the bottle is also embossed with the star design.A very nice clean example,Haynes patents are difficult to find now. HOLLOWAYS OINTMENT POT LID.. A very nice black and white Victorian advertising pot lid with a good clear dark print.The lid depicts a woman and child sitting on a marble throne with serpent to one column and the company address to the other colum,353 Oxford St,London and with the various prices of the different ointments which were available,below this in large letter,HOLLOWAYS OINTMENT,and the price,2s 9d.There is a glazed over small chip on the flange of the lid,but this is a manufacturing fault it is not damage. HYGIENIC CODD PATENT. A very scarce and unusual looking English 10oz size codd patent glass bottle.Aqua colored glass,with flat front and rounded sides and back,codd top but with cross pinch at base,the bottle retains the glass marble to the base of the bottle.The bottle is embossed,B HYGIENIC REGISTERED.The base is embossed AHP.Mint condition looks to be cellar found. LARGE PRATTWARE BOWL,TITLED THE LAST IN. A superb and very beautiful full colored prattware bowl.The large central picture of the bowl titled,THE LAST IN,it portrays an elderly gentleman probably a teacher surrounded by 16 children,at the bottom of the picture is the artists name,W Mulready RA,also signed by J.Austins,the famous employee of the Pratt factory.The wide outer border of the dish is produced in a light blue glaze with a wide band of gold oakleaves.Reverse side of bowl is white with a gold oakleaves to the outer border,center of reverse the bowl is marked,THE LAST IN BY W MULREADY RA.There is some slight age discoloration to the reverse side of the bowl,but no chips,cracks or other damage.Apperently this design was specially produced by the Pratt factory for the International Exhibition of 1851 which was staged at the Crystal Palace in London.Size just under 12 inches wide. LEICERSTER CODD BOTTLE WITH DARK BLUE/BLACK MARBLE .A good aqua coloured glass 10oz size codd bottle.The bottle is embossed on the obverse side,S.SQINCEY LEICERSTER,REGISTERED TRADE MARK,entwined initials in a belt design,the reverse side is embossed,THIS BOTTLE IS THE PROPERTY OF S.QUINCY NO DEPOSIT CHARGED BUYING OR SELLING IT IS ILLEGAL.The bottle is also embossed around the base with the glass makers details,JOHN KILNERS & SONS MAKERS WAKEFIELD.The bottle contains a rare dark blue or possibly black marble (appears very dark blue when held to strong light),mostly codd bottles contain aqua coloured marbles,coloured marbles are rare but especially for this company who is better known for there coloured lip codd bottles.The bottle has a very small minor inner lip chip,the exterior of the bottle has some scuff marks,but over all it is still very nice and it has never been cleaned.I BELIEVE COLOURED MARBLE CODDS FROM THIS LEICERSTER COMPANY ARE VERY RARE. Superb shop advertising figure standing at over 17 inches in total height.This large figure features an old lady washing a very unenthusiastic young boy,at there feet stands bowl of soapy water,the figures stands on a ornate base with black title,YOU DIRTY BOY.This figure is modeled on the well known pears Soap advertising print,one of a number of prints that Pears produced in the Victorian period to advertise there products.The figure is produced in a white composition material and then colored to give it an alabaster apearence.The base of the figure features a stamped manufactures or artists mark,which appears to be Rocksy.There are a few small chips to the figure mostly to the base. PICTORIAL VALVE CODD BOTTLE. A superb and scarce 6oz valve codd,the neck of the bottle is fitted with a small glass and rubber valve that when pressed would have originally released the gas that held the marble in place in the top of the bottle,the marble would then have dropped into the neck cross pinch.The bottle is embossed on the obverse side,H MAUDLEY ACCRINGTON with a large picture of a horse.The reverse of the bottle is embossed,PATENT RYLANDS VALVE 4 SOLE MAKER DAN RYLANDS BARNSLEY.Both sides of the bottle just above the cross pinch is embossed TRADE MARK RD.Very nice small valve codd,this size being much harder to finder than the larger model,the bottle is in very nice condition and it has never been cleaned. PONTILLED BLACK GLASS EMBOSSED HAMILTON BOTTLE. A superb and extremly rare dark olive almost black glass pontilled hamilton bottle dating to the 1820s.The bottle is heavily embossed on all sides,PREPARED BY FRY,GIBBS & FERRIS,CHEMISTS UNION STREET BRISTOL,IMPROVED BRISTOL SODA WATER.The base of the bottle has a superb and extremly crude pontill mark.Long slender neck with tipical early style thin lip.I belevie this is one of only two pontilled black glass hamiltons known from this company.The bottle is not for sale but I would consider high quality trade items,such as coloured codd patents,coloured minerals,pontilled hamiltons,pictorial advertising pot lids,rare Doulton or Martin brothers stonware,militaria,other items also considered. PRATT WARE BEARS GREASE POT LID. This fine quality coloured pot lid is tittled,ALAS POOR BRUIN,it depicts four school boys tormenting a black fury bear and its owner by throwing snowballs at them,in the background there is a school with two moor boys looking on,next to the school there is an inn called,The Bear Inn.Reverse of lid features one small chip to the inner flange and one hairline crack,but the picture is perfect.Bargain price for a coloured bears grease lid. A full colour pratt ware pot lid dating from 1860/70s,the lid features Scottish army troops in full military uniform embarking on a ship,the lid is titled,EMBARKING FOR THE EAST,with inscription above,BE SURE THE HAND MOST DARING THERE,HAS WIPED AWAY A TEAR.A couple of small chips to the underside flange edge,the face of the lid is perfect. A superb mint cellar found Prices cobalt blue glass Victorian bottle,complete with original paper label and stopper.Large wedge shape bottle produced in a beautiful dark cobalt blue glass,the bottle is embossed on the obverse side,PRICES PATENT CANDLE COMPANY LIMITED,with large registration diamond,the reverse side of the bottle is complete with a large percentage of the original paper label,featuring the Price company name,address and medals awards.The bottle is complete with the original cobalt blue glass stopper which is embossed C 14.Superb example,impossible to up-grade on this one. A superb example of this Victorian wedge shaped cobalt blue glass bottle,embossed on the front,PRICES PATENT CANDLE COMPANY LIMITED with the registration diamond.Base marked B & CO LTD K1227.There is a small particle of grit in the glass which you can see in the photograths,it is above the letter C in candle,this is not damage it was done in manufacture.Superb condition,probably impossible to up-grade on this one,no chips cracks or other damage.Hight just under 8 inches. QUEEN VICTORIA 1887 JUBILEE COMEMORATIVE VASE. A very nice Doulton commemorative vase for Queen Victoria's 1887 golden jubilee.This style Royal commemorative vase was original designed by the famous Doulton artist Mark Marshal.This example is produced in Chine ware in a very attractive green glaze with white and gold decoration.The front of the vase features a brown and white medallion of Queen victorias head in decorative white wreath with wording,GOD SAVE THE QUEEN,the reverse features a crowned circular plaque with inscription,THE PILLAR OF A PEOPLES HOPE THE CENTRE OF A WORLD DESIRE.The body of the vase also features surface applied clover leaths,thistles and the Tudor rose with intertwined initials VR.The neck of the vase features the inscription,1837 VICTORIA 1887 REGINA ET IMPERATRIX.The base of the vase marked,Doulton Slatters patent,the Doulton Lambeth back stamp,a number of artist initials to include MA (Mary Aitken).Height about 7 inches.A superb looking Royal commemorative vase. QUEENN VICTORIA COMEMORATIVE JUG. Black stoneware jug,obverse side features a portrait of Queen Victoria surrounded by Scottish thistles,Irish clover leaves and the English rose.Oberse side in star design features the inscription,TO COMMEMORATE THE 60TH YEAR OF HER MAJESTYS MOST GLORIOUS REIGN.Base marked,Made in England 936 W.Two small chips to the lip which have been repaired in the past. RADAMS MICROBE KILLER AMBER CLASS MEDICINE BOTTLE. A large dark amber glass late Victorian medicine bottle,this is especially nice as it is the English version which is much cruder and moor desirable than the American type.The bottle stands 11 inches in height,it is embossed,GERM BACTERIAOR FUNGUS DESTROYER,W.RADAMS MICROBE KILLER,CURES ALL DISEASES,REGISTERED TRADE MARK DEC 13TH 1887,the large trade mark is of a man attacking a skeleton with a large club,laying at the feet of the skeleton is a scythe (the skeleton obviously represents the grim reaper).The bottle is in very nice sparkerling condition but there is one tiny crack in the collar of the lip but this is on the reverse side and is very difficult to see until pointed out.In perfect condition this bottle is normally priced at £200/£250,this example is very reasonably priced because of the slight problem to the reverse of the lip. RARE 6oz GREEN HAMILTON BOTTLE. A very good olive green 6oz size glass hamilton bottle embossed,J KERR,ST HELENS,with a large trade mark of what appears to be a Masonic eye symbol.This actual bottle was featured in a recent BBR magazine. [Condition: Mint]

RARE BLACK GLASS PICTORIAL BEER BOTTLE. This is a very nice 1/2 pint size Victorian beer or mineral water bottle.Dark black glass embossed,GEORGE BROWN & SON NORTHAMPTON,TM a very large picture of the Queen Eleanor cross monument in Northampton.This company was only in business for a very short time from 1894-1898 and listed as a mineral water manufacturer,bottles from this company are very rare.Complete with original internal screw stopper,marked with the company name and design of the monument.There are a couple of tiny nick from the reverse side of the lip,these are extremely minor & other than that the bottle is mint. RARE BULB CODD BOTTLE WITH BLUE BARBLE. A very nice 10oz aqua bulb codd with cobalt blue marble.The bottle has 6 decorative pannels and it is embossed,REEVE & CO MARGATE GENUINE SUPERIOR AERATED WATER with entwined initial trade mark.The large bulb in the neck contains a rare cobalt blue glass marble rather than the standard aqua type.Base of bottle is embossed with initials.A very nice example,the bottle has possibly been professionally cleaned in the past but there are no chip,crack or other damage.A very nice example of a rare bottle. RARE BULLET STOPPER HAMILTON BOTTLE. Although bullet stoppers and standard Hamilton's are rather common,it is scarce to find a bullet stopper top with internal stopper combining the hamilton base (HYBRID),the lip of the bottle is the typical bullet stopper type but it is much paler colour than the rest of the bottle which almost makes it look like a colored lip.This 6oz example is embossed W.PRESTON & CO , 2A GILL ST , LIVERPOOL & STANLEY ST , SOUTHPORT,and it is also embossed with a very attractive large TM of a castle with large bird on the tower.The bottle is also embossed with the glass manufacturers name,Nuttall & co,Makers,St Hellens.The bottle is complete with the wood and rubber bullet stopper to the interior of the bottle.This is the only company I know of that used a bullet stopper hamilton bottle. [Condition: Near Mint]

RARE WARNERS SAFE COMPOUND BOTTLE. A very rare dark amber bottle,this is the rare type with flat sides rather than rounded.The bottle is embossed,WARNER SAFE COMPOUND,WITH THE LARGE DESIGN OF A SAFE.There is a small air bubble on the reverse of the bottle,it is still complete and it is not damaged.The bottle stands at just over 5 inches in total height. [Condition: Mint]

The bottle is a similar size and shape as a ginger beer bottle.Dark blue glazed top with white body with good clear blue pictorial print,ROCK BLUE,BLUE MAKERS TO HIS MAJESTY THE KING,GOLD MEDAL 1896 & 3 GOLD MEDALS 1896,7 GOLD MEDALS 1900,W.R.HATTON & SONS LTD,WORMWOOD SCRUBBS LONDON.Detaild blue print pictorial TM of a costal design,ocien with rocky shore line with ship sailing into the sun set.Buchan Portobello pottery stamp to reverse side.A very nice example with good clear sharp print,often the print on these bottle can be rather poor. A good 10oz size aqua hamilton bottle embossed,J.SCHWEPPE & CO,51 BERNERS STREET,OXFORD STREET,GENUINE SUPERIOR AERATED WATERS.Bottle dates from about 1860/70.Some minor internal stains which could easily be cleaned, over all the bottle is in very nice condition. [Condition: Exc++]

SILVER HAMILTON STAND This is a superb and very decorative silver platted hamilton stand (holder for a point based mineral water bottle),it features bunches of grapes in a foliage design the 3 legs are also very decorative.Although I have seen many hamilton stands over the years,I have never seen one as decorative as this before.The bottle shown in one of the photos is for display only and is not included in the price. SLAB SEALED STONE STORAGE JAR. Two tone stone jar standing at just over 11 inches in total height,with a large slab seal to shoulder.The slab seal reads,HOWELL & MARSDEN ASHBOURNE.Small hairline glaze crack to the side of pot and one small chip to base of pot.(Ashbourne is a small town in Derbyshire and apparently Howell & Marsden was a grocers shop on the high St).The pot dates to the 1870s. An interesting small green and brown glazed bowl in a rather gothic style,the lower portion is decorated with flowers and foliage and upper portion with designs of 4 strange insects looking somewhat like beetles,freted rim to bowl which has a couple of tiny chips.Base marked Doulton Lambeth with artists initials which appear to be ER (Edith Rogers). Brown glazed body with dark brown top with impressed wording,MORLOCK,466 468 & 470 Oxford St & 31 & 32 Orchard St,London,and below that,Reduced facsimile of ye sign in 1750.Base marked,JOHN MORTLOCK & CO OXFORD STREET LONDON,the base is also stamped Doulton Lambeth.Morlock was a Victorian up-market chain of shops in London.Size 4 inches. A very nice Bellarmine jug produced in a very attractive mottled brown salt glaze and dating from about 1680.The jug stand at about 13 inches in total height,the neck features the face mask of the bearded man a representation of Cardinal Bellarmine,below this is a large medallion coat of arms.The jug is complete with handle.A nice very early Bellarmine jug,a few tiny nicks out of base as you would expect considering its age but no real damage and certainly no restoration.A very good example at a very realistic price. A very attractive ink well produced in brown,blue and green glaze produced in a very attractive art nauvaue design.Complete with original blue lid featuring 5 small circular designs to match the 5 on the inkwell.Base of the inkwell is marked Royal Doulton England,model number and artist initials MB (Maud Bowden),these initials are also on the underside of the lid.There is some minor expert restoration to this item but it is imposable to see with out very careful examination. SUTCLIFFES PATENT MINERAL WATER BOTTLE. A good 10oz Sutcliffes patent,the neck of the bottle has 4 scollops to retain the stopper during poring the contents,complete with class bullet type stopper.The bottle is embossed on the obverse side,J.C.NICHOLL,AERATED WATERS HALIFAX.The reverse side of the bottle is embossed with a sunburst trade mark with initials to center.The base of the bottle is embossed,SUTCLIFFES PATENT BARNSLEY. SYKES MACKVAY PATENT MINERAL WATER BOTTLE. A very good 10oz example of the scarce patent mineral water bottle.Aqua colored bottle with six dimples in base,lead seal in lip of bottle and internal glass ball stopper.The bottle was used by the Company of JARVIS & CO BEDFORD ,TM company name in script,(I believe there is only a hand full of examples from this company known making this a very rare example of a scarce patent).The base of the bottle is embossed,SYKES MACKVAY & CO MAKERS CASTLFORD,PATENT 1877.The bottle has been professionally cleaned in the past to a very high standard,there is also one tiny nick to the reverse side of the lip of the bottle but this is extremely tiny and hardly worth mentioning. SYKES MACKVAY TYPE PATENT MINERAL WATER BOTTLE. 10oz aqua mineral water bottle of the Sykes Mackvay type,6 dimples in base,with codd type lip and with marble in base,the 6 dimples in the base retain the marble while pouring the contents.The bottle is embossed,Wm THOMSON ABERDEEN,the shoulders of the bottle are embossed with the initials,W.T.A.The center of the bottle features the TM of 3 large bottles, two hamiltons and a cylinder which also appears to have dimples in the base.Base marked with makers details,Cannington Shaw & co makers St Helens.A very nice example. A good 10oz size aqua glass mineral water bottle.Sykes Mackvay type patent with six dimples in base to retain the marble while poring the contents,the lip of the bottle is the Standard Codd type.The bottle is embossed on the obverse side,BARRETT & CO BIRMINGHAM with the large pictorial TM of two hands opening a bottle.The reverse side of the bottle is embossed,THIS BOTTLE IS THE PROPERTY OF BARRETT & CO ASTON ROAD BIRMINGHAM.The base of the bottle is embossed with a monogram and number 5170.A very nice example,no chips, cracks or other damage. TALL DOULTON VASE. A tall cylindrical blue and brown vase,the top portion has 4 panels each featuring a large decorative flower.Base is marked Royal Doulton and artists initials MW (Minnie Weber).Hight 11 inches. [Condition: Mint]

TINY SPLIT SIZE EARLY DUMPY CODD BOTTLE. A very rare small (split) size early dumpy codd bottle.This aqua bottle is embossed on the obverse side with the company name,RANDALL SLOPER & CO,SOUTHAMPTON,the reverse of the bottle is embossed,CODDS PATENT 4,RYLAND & CODD,MAKERS STAIRFOOT BARNSLY.The neck of the bottle is the early narrow neck type,the base of the bottle is the moor strait/flattened type often associated with early codds.Although standard size aqua dumpy codds are often offered for sale,the tiny split size is extremely rare and almost never avalable,especially an early example with a company name.Hight 6 inches.The bottle has been professionally cleaned in the past to a very high standard and now display mint.The large size colored dumpy codd in the last photograph is for size comparison only and it is not included in the price but it is for sale separately. TWO COPPER BLUE GLASS INKS POTS. A nice pair of Victorian copper blue glass ink pots.The 1st example is an eight sided blue glass ink in superb condition.The 2nd blue glass ink is a square example with ribs to 3 sides and two pen rests to the top,there are some cloudy internal and external marks to this ink but over it all it is a nice exampe.Price £15.00 each or £20.00 for the pair. UNUSUAL 3 WAY CODD BOTTLE. Most codd bottles will have two or four marble retaining lugs in the neck of the bottle,this example has only three retaining lugs,one to the front and two to the reverse.Bottle embossed on the obverse side,G.H.Elliott,Carlton TM large letter E,the reverse of the bottle is embossed,Lemonade,This bottle is the property of G.H.Elliott & cannot be legally used by others.I believe Carlton is a town in Australia,unusual style codd,I have not had one like this before. VALLETS PATENT MINERAL WATER BOTTLE. 6oz size very attractive looking bottle,embossed,R HOUGHTON BLACKBURN with the TM of a very detailed picture of large old steam train with the name on the engine,PANDORA and number 1430,bottle also embossed Nuttall & co makers St Helens.The reverse of the bottle is embossed in large letters VALLETS PATENT LIVERPOOL,With the design of the bottle stopper.The bottle is complete with its wood and rubber internal stopper.One tiny ding on base and small nick on the shoulder of bottle but neither are particularly noticeable. VERY DECORATIVE DOULTON INK WELL. A very attractive dark blue glazed Doulton ink well with a circular band of floral decoration in a light blue and brown glaze,the ink well is fitted with 3 small holes for holding the pen.Base marked Doulton Lambeth England with model number and artists initials.
