Afrika Korps Letter Opener Damascus Blade A very unusual item we are not sure the intended original purpose of this, it is possibly a letter opener or a WWII souvenir from a bazaar whilst on campaign, there are no markings on the blade and does not appear to have ever been a complete dagger at any time. The blade is high quality damascus and the cutting edge has not been honed sharp. The gold inlay does seem to be real gold, this has come from a collection. Rare Enfield MkIII Oiler With Round Bottom This oiler is marked EFD on the base with a small letter E, it is in very good condition with no dents. It has a nice clean spoon with leather washer complete. This is the rarer round bottom MKIII type which dates from 1899 - 1906. A very nice clean example for the collector

Rare MG13 Sustained Fire Mounting Set or possibly MG34 This is a very rare find, these were used with the MG13 that was developed in the 1930`s and removed from service in the same era following the adoption of the MG34. The wooden folding section was staked to the ground and the MG13`s bipod was attached to this with the leather straps. The butt elevation and arc of fire section was attached by the clamp and also staked into the ground. Hope photos illustrate this although stakes not fully driven into ground. In very good condition with no rust in used condition. Leather straps are remarkable in the fact that they still creak when moved carry case still has original unit/section markings. These were put back into service in the closing stages of WWII. Base is dated 1937 Schambach & Co Berlin UPDATE We have made some further research into this item and have found that the MG34 is the most likely gun to have used this for two reasons wood base dated 1937 is likely to be date manufactured for the MG 34 - would bases still be produced for guns removed from service- ? Secondly the rear mounting bracket would seem to be a ideal fit over the lug that is left once the MG 34 has had the butt removed, we have been unable to measure this diameter but the question is where would the rear mounting ring locate on a MG 13. The SA80 has been re worked by H&K and following this a re vamped cleaning kit has been issued using a wire chamber brush with a female thread (old kit had a male thread ). These two items will upgrade your old cleaning kit into the new style still using your existing rods, simply replace the handle with the circular one and add the new stronger chamber brush. SMLE NoI. MkIII. Deactivated Rifle With Bayonet This is a very good clean example and does include bayonet. It is dated 1952 and is stamped RFI which means that this one is of Indian manufacture. It is totally original with all correct matching parts with matcthing serial No. the serial number is stamped on the receiver, bolt and nosecap. Overall the wood is very good with very little dents it has minor age crack to front top handguard behind nosecap this does not spoil the looks as this has aged with the wood and is very discreet. Metalwork very clean with no rust. Complete with deact certificate. The bayonet is very nice and completes this set as it is also Indian and marked RFI the bayonet marking can be seen in the photo, blade in good condition and straight dated 1946.
